POSITION SUMMARY:

Overall responsibility for the General Accounting function and supporting the business by providing accurate and timely accounting information that will facilitate better business decisions.

This position is not considered a safety sensitive position as defined with Act 593.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completion of ongoing accounting activities that support the operation of the financial general ledger - prepare and coordinate appropriate audit trails and documentation for all G/L entries and transactions.
  • Manage Fixed Asset System
  • Prepare, review and report on capital and expense budgets
  • Perform monthly/quarterly/yearly account analyses
  • Prepare monthly/yearly journal vouchers as required
  • Prepare annual budget for General Accounting related expense items
  • Educate and interact with managers/supervisors/team members relative to accounting information.
  • Support Nestle Programs and Policies including affirmative action goals and commitments, HSE Strategies and Corporate Citizenship initiatives.
  • Perform necessary audit procedures to maintain Nestle compliance

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • 3-5 years related experience is required
  • Minimum Associates degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required. 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Manufacturing Accounting experience preferred
