Title: Accountant

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid – Minimum 1 Remote Day Per Week)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Salary: $65,000–$80,000

Our client, a respected legal practice, is seeking an Accountant to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with prior legal industry experience who is looking to grow within a collaborative and stable environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Contribute to monthly and annual close processes by completing assigned accounting tasks and meeting reporting deadlines.
  • Generate, review, and interpret financial reports to support accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide accounting support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other core finance functions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, research variances, and resolve outstanding account discrepancies.
  • Organize and maintain financial documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and support timely reporting requirements.
  • Assist with audit requests, financial analyses, and ad hoc accounting projects as assigned.
