How does the role impact the organization?

Raymond James Ltd. is seeking a Financial Accountant to work in our downtown Vancouver office.

Reporting to the AVP, Finance, this position encompasses a wide variety of duties including accounts payable, financial and regulatory reporting, financial analysis, and ad hoc project work. This role will float between the functional areas of finance to provide support in areas as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to get a wide variety of experience necessary for growth opportunities. Therefore a keen desire to learn and take on challenges is essential.

What will your role be responsible for?

  • Minimum 2 years of related accounting experience;
  • Preference for candidates with CPA designation or near completion of the CPA program;
  • Advanced skills in both Excel and Access;
  • A thorough knowledge of financial accounting reconciliation processes;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proven time management and analytical skills;
  • Superior accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and to maintain full workload independently;
  • Calm and professional demeanor;
  • Positive, flexible and willing to assist others as required;
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure;
  • Proven ability to display leadership within small teams.

Salary Range: $60,000 - 75,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.

Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements.
