Job description

Description:

ACCi is hiring an Associate Account Manager to support our sales and client service team while developing into a stand-alone Account Manager over time.

This role is designed for someone who is organized, dependable, and eager to learn. In the early stages, this person will focus on inside sales support, quote generation, client follow-up, and internal coordination. Over time, with training and mentorship, they will grow into a more independent client-facing Account Manager role.

The right person for this position is not expected to know everything on day one. What matters most is the ability to learn quickly, communicate professionally, follow through consistently, and work well as part of a team.

This role will train closely under senior leadership, including an experienced Account Manager, while learning ACCi’s systems, process, and approach to serving clients.

Requirements:

Phase 1: Inside Sales Support / Account Coordination

  • Prepare quotes and proposal documents for sales opportunities
  • Research product and solution options to help meet client needs
  • Follow up with clients and prospects by phone and email regarding quotes and open requests
  • Maintain timely communication with clients on status updates and next steps
  • Learn and use ACCi’s internal systems, tools, and processes
  • Coordinate with sales, technical, and support teams to keep work moving efficiently
  • Help manage order, ticket, and return processes as needed
  • Participate in training and internal development to build product and solution knowledge

Phase 2: Growth into Account Management

  • Build trusted relationships with assigned clients over time
  • Help identify client needs and coordinate the right solutions with internal teams
  • Support proposal delivery, follow-up, and consultative conversations
  • Participate in client meetings, planning discussions, and strategic review conversations
  • Contribute to account growth through strong service, responsiveness, and consistent follow-through
  • Represent ACCi professionally in client interactions, networking events, and other business development activities

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Professional, polished communication skills by phone, email, and in person
  • A team-first mindset and willingness to learn from others
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple moving pieces
  • Good judgment, professionalism, and reliability
  • Comfort working in a structured, in-office environment
  • Ability to build trust with clients over time
  • Coachable, steady, and motivated to grow into greater responsibility
  • General comfort with business technology and an aptitude for technical learning

Preferred Background

  • Experience in inside sales, customer service, account coordination, or account management
  • Experience preparing quotes, proposals, or client-facing documentation
  • Familiarity with CRM, quoting, or business management tools is helpful
  • Experience in technology, IT services, or a related business-to-business environment is a plus, but not required

Why This Role Is Different

This is not a sink-or-swim sales role.

At ACCi, this person will be developed intentionally. You will start by learning the business, supporting the team, and mastering the fundamentals. From there, you will grow into a more independent Account Manager role with greater ownership and client responsibility.

If you are someone who wants to build real capability, earn trust, and grow into a long-term client-facing role, this position offers that path.

Work Environment

  • This is an in-office position based in Birmingham, Alabama
  • When not attending client appointments, training, or company events, this role is expected to work from the ACCi office
  • Regular, dependable attendance is required
