Job description

Spring Lake Village
Pay Range: $29.00 - $32.00
Full Time, with Benefits!
Summary:
Under the direction of Director of Nursing and the Charge Nurse, performs nursing in the areas of range of motion, ambulation, application of splints and use of assistive devices. Assists the physical, occupational and speech therapists to carry out doctor ordered plans of care. Will typically provide care to a greater number of residents with higher acuity than RNAI and will typically provide supervision to other staff and act as a "lead".
Essential Functions:
  • Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to maintain or improve residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
  • Monitors the use and condition of adaptive equipment/assistive devices, arranging for repair as needed.
  • Assist in standardizing the methods in which restorative care will be accomplished.
  • Document resident participation in and response to services by state regulations and facility policy.
  • Recommend modifications and changes in the resident's restorative care.
  • Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
  • Practices proper body mechanics while delivering restorative nursing care.
  • Works with the residents with more complex needs in restorative care activities.
  • Maintain resident stability by checking vitals, weight, etc., and documenting.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and training to the RNAs to help them enhance the residents' quality of life.
  • Assists in maintaining therapy area and equipment in clean, safe, functional condition.

Credentials:
Essential:
* Certified Nurse Assistant
Nonessential:
* RNA - Registered Nursing Assistant
Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* High School diploma or GED
Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
*2 Years prior work experience as a CNA or RNA
Nonessential:
* 2 Years knowledge of medical terminology and staffing positions in an assisted living facility
