Job description

As the Life Enrichment Associate (Activities Assistant) with Cascades of the Sierra, you play a big part in making our resident’s lives more meaningful by assisting in the various activities. You’ll be depended upon to take the lead in encouraging resident participation and over time come to understand the individual needs of each resident.

What we look for in a Life Enrichment Associate:

  • Must possess current first aid certification and a current food handler’s or serve safe certification

  • Compassionate individuals who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner

  • Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents and their families

  • Demonstrate active listening techniques, gain support by treating others with dignity and respect

  • Strong customer service skills with ability to problem solve

  • Ownership attitude who is able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day

What you can expect to do as a Life Enrichment Associate:

  • Must have experience in planning, organizing and executing a varied schedule of life enrichment opportunities for all levels of seniors

  • Valid Driver’s license as this role will require driving residents

  • Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents and their families

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to facilitate small-group presentations

  • Ownership attitude who is able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day
