Physician Assistant – Gastroenterology (Full-Time)

Location: Winston-Salem, NC Practice Type: Private Gastroenterology Practice

Position Summary: Digestive Health Specialists is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our gastroenterology team. This position includes responsibilities in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, allowing for continuity of care across hospital and office environments. The ideal candidate will be motivated, dependable, and committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outpatient follow-up visits and assist with ongoing management of GI conditions
  • Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
  • Develop and implement evidence-based care plans in collaboration with physicians
  • Document all encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Perform inpatient rounds and consultations in coordination with supervising gastroenterologists
  • Communicate effectively with hospital staff, office personnel, and referring providers
Schedule and Compensation:
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday
  • Responsibilities divided between hospital and office settings
