Attorney Assistant / Legal Assistant

Madison, MS | Full-Time | $45,000 - $50,000 + Benefits


Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Attorney Assistant to provide administrative and legal support to a strong legal team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring cases and client matters are handled efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and client service.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare, edit, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, motions, contracts, and reports.
  • Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files.
  • Manage attorney calendars and coordinate meetings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other appointments.
  • Monitor deadlines and assist with ensuring timely filings and responses.
  • File legal documents with courts, government agencies, and other entities.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with gathering, organizing, and reviewing documentation for legal matters.
  • Prepare case summaries, timelines, and supporting materials for attorney review.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and firm information.
  • Provide administrative and legal support as needed.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Attorney Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Paralegal, or related support professional preferred.
