ACCOUNTING & FINANCE ASSISTANT (Brooklyn, NY)
Starting Pay: $20.00-$25.00/hr.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Generate and send customer invoices.
  • Apply customer payments.
  • Monitor aging reports.
  • Contact customers regarding overdue balances.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Process customer credits and refunds.
  • Maintain accurate customer account records.
  • Enter vendor bills and expenses.
  • Verify quantities, pricing, and purchase documentation.
  • Schedule and process vendor payments.
  • Maintain vendor files.
  • Resolve vendor billing issues.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
  • Perform daily bank transaction matching.
  • Complete credit card reconciliations.
  • Reconcile deposits and payments.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate QuickBooks Online records.
  • Review inventory-related purchases for accuracy.
  • Assist external CPA as needed.
  • Respond to customer billing inquiries.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding account matters.
  • Perform filing and document management.
  • Maintain organized accounting records.
  • Complete other finance and office duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or accounting experience.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
