Job description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Assistant to support our podiatry team. Our team values efficiency, professionalism, and compassionate patient interactions and must be comfortable working in a fast paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and obtain medical history
  • Assist physician with in-office procedures (e.g. nail care, wound care, injections).
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments
  • Perform basic clinical tasks such as dressing changes and suture removal
  • Maintain clean and organized exam rooms
  • Document accurately in the EMR
  • Perform and assist with digital x-rays
  • Dispense durable medical equipment and provide patient education

Qualifications:

  • Medical assistant certification preferred (not required with experience).
  • Prior clinical experience required (podiatry, wound care, ortho, or surgical specialty preferred)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • EMR familiarity
  • Experience with X-ray imaging preferred
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced setting
