Position Overview
Fusion HCR is seeking a Workday Technical Systems Integrations Specialist to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of Workday integrations and technical configurations across a complex enterprise environment. This role will serve as a key technical resource responsible for building scalable integrations, supporting Workday platform administration, and partnering with business and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
The ideal candidate possesses strong hands-on experience with Workday integrations, APIs, and technical configuration, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and recommend system improvements. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring Workday remains aligned with business objectives, compliance requirements, and long-term technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Workday Integrations & Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Workday and internal/external systems utilizing Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and Workday APIs.
  • Develop and support inbound, outbound, real-time, and batch integration solutions.
  • Leverage REST and SOAP web services to facilitate secure and scalable data exchanges.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues while ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.
Technical Configuration & Administration
  • Configure and maintain Workday business processes, calculated fields, security roles, and custom reporting solutions.
  • Support tenant management, system monitoring, and platform performance optimization.
  • Assist with Workday releases, testing cycles, upgrades, and implementation initiatives.
  • Maintain system configurations in alignment with organizational governance standards.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and implementation partners on integration and enhancement projects.
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert for Workday-related initiatives and support activities.
  • Provide guidance during system enhancements, troubleshooting efforts, and project delivery.
Optimization & Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate existing integrations and technical processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend and implement solutions that improve scalability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Support ongoing maintenance and health checks across the Workday ecosystem.
  • Contribute to best practices related to Workday development, integrations, and governance.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, integration mappings, and support procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to IT security standards, SOX requirements, data governance policies, and compliance regulations.
  • Support audit activities and maintain documentation for regulatory and operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Workday integrations.
  • Strong experience with Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and Core Connectors.
  • Experience working with REST/SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, and web services.
  • Familiarity with middleware and integration platforms such as Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, enterprise systems, and integration architecture.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
