Since reopening, Saddleback has invested more than $30 million in mountain improvements, including a renovated base lodge, four new lifts, including the high-speed Rangeley Quad, expanded snowmaking and grooming, a 7-MW DC solar farm, electric vehicle chargers, an on-mountain staff house, and The Nest, a new mid-mountain restaurant and venue space. Saddleback Ski Operations is seeking an experienced and motivated Property Maintenance Supervisor to lead in the field maintenance and facility, general maintenance team members for Saddleback’s buildings and grounds.

Job Description

Property Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary

This supervisory role is responsible for ensuring public spaces, event facilities, and building systems are maintained to the highest standards of safety, appearance, and functionality.

The maintenance supervisor will oversee in-field daily maintenance operations, supervise staff, execute preventive maintenance programs, assist in the coordination of repairs and capital projects, and ensure the property remains guest-ready year-round. During the off-season, this position is responsible for completing preventive maintenance and preparing the resort for a successful upcoming season.

Essential Responsibilities

· Lead, train, and supervise the general maintenance and custodial teams while overseeing daily department operations.

· Implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems.

· Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and general building maintenance issues.

· Conduct routine inspections of SB House guest rooms, facilities, grounds, and equipment to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

· Assist in coordination and in field assistance of all required life safety inspections, elevator inspections, fire alarm inspections, sprinkler system inspections, and other state, local, and regulatory compliance requirements.

· Maintain compliance with all OSHA, health department, fire code, building code, and local jurisdiction requirements.

· Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and guest service requests.

· Coordinate and assist outside contractors and vendors while on site for specialized repairs, inspections, and capital projects.

· Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance activities, permits, and regulatory compliance documentation.

· Monitor inventory levels, maintenance supplies, departmental budgets and Maintenance Manager.

· Assist in field with property improvement projects, renovations, and capital expenditures.

· Oversee and assist infield with event setup and breakdown requirements in support of resort operations.

· Complete off-season preventive maintenance in all guest rooms and ensure the property is fully prepared for peak-season operations.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 3–5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in ski resort, hospitality, commercial, or similar.

· Previous supervisory experience required.

· Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

· Strong supervisory, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

· Experience with maintenance management software and work order systems preferred.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

· Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts when necessary.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.

· Ability to Work outdoors and in inclement weather.
