OR Assistant / Anesthesia Aide
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303
$19.29 - $26.90 an hour - Per Diem - Variable Days
+$2.00/hr for weekend shifts
Boulder Community Health is seeking an OR Assistant / Anesthesia Aide who participates in the pre-operative, intraoperative and post-operative care of the patient under the direction of the RN. This includes patient and patient related transportation, direct patient care, supply distribution and cleaning.

Qualifications
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• BLS certification required by end of 90 day conditional period
Responsibilities
• Expedient turn overs of operating rooms between surgery cases.
• Maintain clean, safe environment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of surgical asepsis in the handling of supplies and equipment.
• Provides for patient comfort and safety while transferring.
• Assists the RN in positioning of the patient when requested.
• Acts as a team player while carrying out duties assigned.
• Complies with all hospital, division and department policies and procedures.
• Attends huddle and in-service programs to increase knowledge base.
• Projects a positive image of the hospital within the community.
• Promotes cost containment when maintaining supplies and equipment..
