SPA has an immediate need for a Long-Range Weapon Systems Engineer.

Responsibilities

Seeking a Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) contractor to provide analytical and systems engineering support in the development and prototyping of long range precision fires weapon systems. SETA contractor will work closely with program team, FFRDCs/UARCs, and stakeholders and partners within the Department of War to organize, formulate, execute, and evaluate systems to assess performance and military utility. Analytical results will be utilized to inform system development requirements and validation planning. 

  • Develop and manage project analysis plans.
  • Build program communications products which capture the findings of analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and validate complex DoW systems, advanced weapon systems, and C4ISR equipment.
  • Participate in project reviews, assesses contract deliverables, and coordinate with technical review boards on decisions with broad program impact.
  • Maintain cognizance of project adherence to processes in the development, production, and test of system-level and sub-system products.
  • Maintain cognizance over technical activities within project sub-IPTs and ensure horizontal integration of the practices across the project.
  • Work with the Project Management team and chief engineer to understand priorities and drive project execution in alignment with those priorities.
  • Develop presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain designs to project management and all stakeholders.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline
  • 15+ years supporting DoW operations and/or program
  • Able to work full-time in a Chantilly VA office within SCIF/SAPF spaces
