The Video Editor & Visual Content Creator is a key member of Otis' Global Communications team, responsible for transforming business priorities into compelling visual stories that engage colleagues, customers, and external audiences worldwide.
This is not a traditional editing role. We're seeking a versatile creative professional who combines exceptional editorial craft with the ability to create content across evolving formats, platforms, and production workflows. The successful candidate is equally comfortable producing narrative-driven videos, developing agile short-form content, adapting assets across channels, and leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance both efficiency and creative quality.
Working within established communication objectives, this individual exercises strong editorial judgment to turn complex ideas into engaging visual experiences. Success requires balancing creativity, speed, quality, and strategic intent in a fast-paced global communications environment. While this position can be performed remotely, the ideal candidate will be located in close proximity to our World Headquarters location in Farmington, CT as in-office days will be required.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Storytelling & Creative Execution
  • Produce high-quality video and visual content using Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Express, and Premiere for mobile.
  • Transform interviews, executive messaging, event coverage, product demonstrations, colleague stories, and existing assets into compelling visual content.
  • Apply strong editorial judgment to shape pacing, narrative flow, graphics, sound, and audience engagement.
  • Translate creative direction into polished execution while identifying opportunities to strengthen storytelling and impact.
  • Deliver multiple creative approaches when appropriate while balancing quality, speed, and communication objectives.

Content Packaging & Platform Creation
  • Create and optimize content for executive communications, social media, internal communications, digital signage, events, and web platforms.
  • Adapt content for audience behaviors, technical requirements, accessibility standards, and communication goals across channels.
  • Repurpose long-form content into engaging short-form assets that maximize reach and communication value.
  • Apply motion graphics, animation, captions, subtitles, sound design, visual effects, and brand elements to enhance storytelling.

Business Understanding & Story Awareness
  • Develop a working knowledge of Otis' products, services, customers, and strategic priorities to inform stronger editorial decisions.
  • Identify storytelling opportunities and collaborate with communications partners to elevate content aligned with business objectives.
  • Contribute creative ideas while adhering to established messaging and brand guidance.

Creative Technology, AI & Workflow Excellence
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools to support ideation, editing, transcription, localization, captioning, asset discovery, versioning, and production workflows while maintaining quality and brand integrity.
  • Stay current on emerging creative technologies and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and audience engagement.
  • Manage review cycles through Frame.io and maintain organized project files, assets, and archives within Bynder and other content management systems.

Collaboration & Delivery
  • Collaborate with Creative Services, communications partners, executives, subject matter experts, regional teams, and external vendors.
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines with strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Embrace feedback, offer thoughtful solutions, and maintain momentum in a collaborative environment.

Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings 5-7+ years of professional video editing experience supporting corporate communications, global brands, agencies, production companies, or similar creative environments.
  • Exceptional video editing, visual storytelling, pacing, narrative development, and editorial judgment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Experience creating content for social media, executive communications, internal platforms, events, and digital channels.
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific formats, accessibility requirements, captions, subtitles, and localization.
  • Ability to translate business objectives and creative direction into compelling visual storytelling.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted creative tools to improve production workflows and creative output.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing assets, review cycles, and multiple deliverables.
  • Experience using collaboration tools such as Frame.io and digital asset management platforms such as Bynder.
  • Experience with camera operation, lighting, audio capture, motion graphics, animation, or sound design is a plus.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, Communications, Media Arts, Digital Media, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Industry-recognized certifications in Adobe Creative Cloud, video production, post-production, motion graphics, or related tools are a plus.
The salary range for this role is $93,000-$116,000. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
