The Opportunity

We are lookingfor an accomplished Assistant Vice President to join our regulatory services teamas part of our financial services businessin Montreal.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Be involved in the provision of FATCA and CRS, and Economic services, including the collection and review of documentation for, as well as review and approval of, the on-boarding and classification of account holders in accordance with FATCA and CRS standards for a portfolio of clients
  • Collection and review of information, preparation and submission of FATCA and CRS and Economic Substance annual filings
  • Duties will include liaison with clients (internal and external), investors, investment managers, colleagues and other third parties in various international jurisdictions.

What You Bring

In addition to a commitment to delivering superior candidate and stakeholder experiences:

  • University graduate, preferably with an accounting or finance degree, and an excellent academic background
  • At least three years relevant experience in FATCA/CRS or relevant regulatory services in the investment funds industry and have a good understanding of FATCA and CRS regulatory requirements
  • Experience in working with account holder due diligence and reporting for reporting financial institutions under FATCA and CRS is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications, with advanced Excel and data management skills
  • In addition, he/she will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to read and interpret documentation in line with specific requirements.
  • He/she will have the ability to use initiative, be self-motivated and able to work independently, and work well under pressure to complete high volumes of work under tight deadlines.
  • This post requires a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency, ability to multi-task and excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Fluency in English is required.

  • Experience de travail dans le cadre de la diligence raisonnable envers les titulaires de comptes et en matiere de declaration pour les institutions financieres declarantes en vertu de la FATCA et de la NCD;
  • excellente connaissance des applications Microsoft avec des competences avancees relatives a Excel et a la gestion de donnees;
