The Assistant Vice President Operations professional responsible for r setting objectives, planning, staffing and directing activities of assigned departments/areas of responsibility; i.e. Environmental Services, Nutrition, and Food Services, Facilities Management, hospital-specific service line oversight (i.e. neurosciences, orthopedics, etc.) and Transport with matrix reporting relationship with Corporate Construction, Admitting Registration, Volunteer Services. Supports and promotes the vision, mission, and strategic plans of Methodist Health System.

Your Job Requirements
  • MHA/MBA/MS in hospital administration, healthcare administration or specialty field within areas of responsibility or equivalent education/experience preferred.
  • Minimum Work Experience: Previous administrative experience in hospital administration or related specialty field preferred.
  • Experience as a leader within a hospital, having previously served as an Assistant VP, Operations, and ancillary services' leader.
  • Proven ability to expand and redesign services using innovative approaches to maximize clinical quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach to decision-making.
  • Experience working within a highly complex organization or health system essential.
  • Strong relationship builder and communicator with experience leading diverse work teams, developing an organizational strategy for program excellence and engaging partners.
  • Exhibits excellent leadership and self-direction, good judgment in handling difficulty situations and good organizational, time management, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Very strong proficiency using Microsoft Office products
