Job description

The housekeeping inspector's primary duty will be to certify the daily work of the housekeeping staff. He or she will serve as the main interface between the Property Service Manager, housekeeping manager, and the housekeeping staff with regards to the quality of cleans performed. The inspector will be responsible for enforcing housekeeping cleaning standards and other policies related to Resorts West and the Housekeeping staff, while maintaining and promoting the Luxury Defined standard. This position is one of great responsibility and requires knowledge of housekeeping and customer service procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure that Resorts West guests receive the utmost service and courtesy.
2. Ensure Resorts West cleaning quality and standards through daily inspections of all assigned housekeeping work.
3. Work with Housekeeping Manager to determine and implement housekeeping standards and policies.
4. Assist in ordering housekeeping supplies and monitor usage.
5. Monitor and report housekeeping staff performance to Property Service Manager and housekeeping manager.
6. Assist in training housekeeping staff.
7. Complete and oversee inspection checks for all units prior to arrivals.
8. Perform inspections for all owner stays.
9. Complete departure or security checks as needed.
10. Document all inspections performed on inspector's worksheet.
11. Assist in full inventorying and documentation of all managed properties.
12. Assist in deep cleaning of all managed units and inspections of such deep cleaning.
13. Make observations of needed property upgrades, deficiencies in minimum inventories and suggest replacements etc.
14. Assist Property Service Manager in recommending such upgrades, maintenance of minimum inventory requirements and replacements.
15. Assist with cleaning of properties when needed.
16. Communicate status of all units in a prompt manner.
17. Assist with housekeeping when needed.
18. Develop and mentor a team of housekeepers.
19. Report damage, maintenance issues, and unit needs to manager.
20. Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Requirements
Necessary Skills and or Education
He/she will posses the personal skills necessary to represent Resorts West in a professional manner whenever interfacing with guests, owners and industry peers. Excellent communication skills are required. Lifting of heavy objects upwards of 75lbs and certain physical exertion such as bending and standing for extended periods of time may be required in the daily duties. He or she must have a personal vehicle for travel to and from assigned properties.
