Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support a diverse portfolio of entities in North Las Vegas, Nevada. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across day-to-day accounting operations, real estate administration, and financial reporting while partnering closely with accounting leadership. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in general ledger accounting, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion.
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting activity for multiple entities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and on schedule.
• Oversee payables and receivables processing, including billing, collections, payment execution, and upkeep of vendor and customer records.
• Record journal entries for recurring activity, accruals, prepaids, and other general ledger adjustments.
• Reconcile bank accounts, support cash positioning, and assist with intercompany fund movements and other treasury-related tasks.
• Contribute to monthly close activities and help prepare financial statements and supporting documentation for assigned companies.
• Maintain organized workpapers, account reconciliations, schedules, and spreadsheets used for analysis and management reporting.
• Support accounting and administrative needs tied to commercial and residential properties, including tenant billing, reimbursements, and lease-related recordkeeping.
• Assist with audits, tax filings, insurance documentation, lender requests, and maintenance of fixed asset and equipment records.
• Communicate with tenants, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve account issues and coordinate operational follow-up as needed.
• Participate in internal control support, confidential ownership-related matters, and special projects assigned by accounting leadership.• At least 3 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience in a business environment.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills for schedules, analysis, and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to balance competing deadlines and manage work across multiple entities or priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate financial records.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills when working with internal teams, tenants, vendors, and external partners.
• High level of judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Ability to meet mandatory screening requirements.
