Job description

We are looking for a very reliable outgoing candidate who loves working with dogs. We need the right person to help with daily tasks at our doggy daycare, boarding and training facility located just outside of Watsonville. If you like spending time outdoors with dogs in a dynamic and fun environment this position may be a great spot for you. We are family owned and operated and you will join our small team where you get to spend lots of time with dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels. Additionally, you will be learning our proven dog training and handling techniques.

Candidate must be comfortable around all sizes of dogs including jumbo breeds up to 150+ lbs. You must be a dog lover to thrive at this position. Must have great communication skills with our team and clients. The right person will have great customer service, a strong work ethic, and be eager to learn.

Clean driving record with 4+ years of driving experience required. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and be on feet for long parts of shift as well as reliable transportation required. Prior experience working with dogs and/or horses in a professional setting preferred.

Duties include:

Monitoring dog behaviors, managing pack of dogs, walking dogs, customer service, transporting dogs (using company vehicle), transferring dogs to and from cars, feeding, changing water, dog waste management, washing dogs, cleaning/sanitizing kennels & yard, laundry, as well as other dog care related tasks.

Part time to start with possibility for rapid growth. Must have experience with dogs and bilingual is a big plus.
