Transplant Infectious Disease Physician

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Transplant Infectious Disease Physician to join the solid organ and stem cell transplant team. This role will be PRN.

Transplant Infectious Disease Physician Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise to develop guidelines for the prevention and management of infections for each transplant program to minimize infection-related morbidity and mortality.
  • Provide education support for each transplant program to ensure that clinical protocols are standard of care and that physicians are well trained.
  • Collaborate with community infectious disease partners to build and engage a robust network of providers knowledgeable and competent in managing transplant infectious disease-related issues.
  • Provides expertise in prevention, diagnosis and management of infectious diseases related to solid organ, stem cell transplant/Advanced Heart Failure/Advanced Lung Disease.
  • Assures quality care to patients with infectious diseases within the heart, lung, kidney and stem cell transplant populations as well as heart failure and advanced lung disease.

Additional Requirements:

  • Work schedule: Weekend Days
  • Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
  • Experience: Successful completion of physician residency program
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution
  • Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Transplant, Infectious Disease
