Job description

Exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for a Senior Traffic Engineer/Project Manager looking to join the team in Milwaukee! This is a hybrid position with working three days in the office and two days remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead traffic related design/plan development (roundabouts, traffic signals, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, signing, striping, and lighting)
  • Conduct analyses using simulation and modeling software
  • Produce plans, specifications and cost estimates
  • Ensure time and budget project goals are met
  • Establish work plans/staffing for project phases
  • Coordinate activities of engineers, technicians, and production staff
  • Prepare reports and specifications
  • Assist with business development
  • Conduct meetings with clients and internal teams
  • Mentor/train junior staff


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • 8+ years of related transportation experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing multi-disciplined projects
  • PE License
  • Working knowledge of the project development process
  • Previous business development experience
  • Strong working knowledge and previous experience with CADD software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • PTOE Certification or interest in attaining PTOE Certification preferred
  • Previous experience in developing/evaluating transportation system and corridor alternatives preferred
  • Previous experience with traffic operations analysis, forecasting, and modeling preferred
  • Working knowledge of traffic analysis software (Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, etc.) preferred
  • Professional registration in 2 or more states preferred
