Description of Work
Provides a wide range of special projects management and oversight for College of Architecture and its accredited degree programs, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional. Is responsible for projects through all phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure. Coordinates with the Dean of the College of Architecture and other leaders to assign, schedule, and monitor the progress of tasks as necessary for successful and timely project completion. Reviews project status and collaborates with management regarding project prioritization and resource allocation. This position serves as liaison for College of Architecture communication, official documents and agreements, and activities requiring leadership action. Participates in summary assessment of projects to provide information and recommendations on continual improvement of College of Architecture projects and services.
Exercises a high degree of discretion and judgment while working independently. Interacts with staff and stakeholders at all levels in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, while maintaining a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and confidentiality. Collaborates with and supports a large and diverse team in a way that fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion. This position will lead and supervise student staff and manage workflows within the Dean's office.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of high-level or progressively responsible administrative experience.
  • Additional years of relevant experience or completed relevant education may substitute for required education/experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Experience with calendar management and web-based applications.
  • Working knowledge of general office practices, office equipment, and PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software skills.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Working knowledge of College of Architecture and/or University of Nebraska system.
  • Project coordination experience.
  • Experience working in a university setting and supporting senior level leadership.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, SAP, and SharePoint.

They will have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects but also deal with last-minute deadlines.
