Part Time opening for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient team in North Andover, MA. This position is in a specialized outpatient Physical Therapy clinic servicing youth to adults specializing in the treatment of balance disorders and Dizziness. We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform daily follow-up treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and work as a team with the rest of the clinic staff.

Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant

Reports To: Physical Therapist/Clinical Manager

Summary: Administers physical therapy treatments to patients, working under direction of and as an assistant to the Physical Therapists, by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provides patient care in accordance with established protocols and patient care guidelines.

Responsible for timely documentation, including but not limited to daily notes, progress reports, discharge summaries, and incident reports.

Responsible for assuring that patients are treated promptly in accordance with their scheduled appointments.

Responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care for patients with balance and vestibular related diagnoses according to the Physical Therapists plan of care.

Confers with members of physical therapy staff and other health team members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs.

Directs and gives instructions to Rehab Technicians.

Performs clerical duties such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering telephone calls, taking messages, and filling out forms for insurance authorizations.

Complies with State and Licensing board regulations.
