Position Summary

If you enjoy the outdoors and take pride in keeping equipment safe and operating at its best, we'd love to have you join our team. The Boat Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on rental boats, outboard motors, trailers, and other marina equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our rental fleet is safe, reliable, and ready to provide exceptional guest experiences.

Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on boats, outboard motors, trailers, and marina equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, steering, fuel, cooling, and hydraulic system issues.
  • Complete engine tune-ups, oil changes, lower unit service, propeller replacement, and seasonal maintenance.
  • Inspect rental boats before and after service to ensure they meet safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot engine performance concerns and make repairs efficiently.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and repair records.
  • Order and track replacement parts and shop inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop.
  • Assist with launching, retrieving, and transporting boats as needed.
  • Support dock operations during busy periods when requested.
  • Respond to emergency mechanical issues affecting marina operations.
  • Follow all OSHA, EPA, Coast Guard, and company safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
