Job description

Blommer has been providing delicious, high-quality chocolate and cocoa products to customers since 1939. Built as a family business, we are continuing to grow and are looking for motivated and reliable associates to help in our mission of Bringing Chocolate to Life!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance for the General Manager and leadership team at the site
  • Oversee the plant's inventory controls, month end reporting, and count reconciliations.
  • Prepare the weekly company-wide payroll journal entries in conjunction with the HR payroll department.
  • Prepare reports on plant performance in areas of income, expenses, earnings monthly
  • Monitor and report on cash flow performance and oversee capital expenditure requirements
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations monthly, including complex correcting journals
  • Manage and execute all manufacturing accounting processes for location, ensure month end close process are completed timely and in adherence with accepted accounting procedures
  • Manage, perform, and interpret data analytics to assist in business decisions
  • Actively participate in cost avoidance and cost reduction efforts for business unit
  • Review AP/AR transactions to ensure accuracy of posting journals
  • Maintain secure control of accounting-related documents such as invoices, checks, journal entries and financial statements
  • Point of contact for external auditors
  • Collaborate with other plant accounting teams and assist with standardization within the plant accounting functions.
  • Responsible for managing and leading the Senior Staff Accountants on the team, ensuring proper cross-training.
  • Operate within the core values of respect and care for others.

Skills and Work Experience Requirements:
  • 10+ years of financial analysis and leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing environment
  • SAP S/4 HANA experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with strong excel skills and ability to create spreadsheets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of organization
  • Strong business and financial acumen - ability to see the big picture and details that support it
  • Attention to detail and high organization skills

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA or MBA preferred

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below. The base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. The actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, education, certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position.
This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance).
Salary Range: $140K-$165K
