SUMMARY:The Load Controllermust work accurately & quickly within the Warehouse Management System in order tokeep abalancedflow ofload packets, dock door management and maintaineffectivecommunication with all internal/external departments to meet the departure date and time for deliveries to customers. This includes completing reports and preparingall paperwork neatly and accurately.Assist Shipping Supervisor in any way needed to keep shippingmoving smoothly withoutdown time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Thislist is not intended to beall-inclusiveand other duties may be assigned.

  • Preparecurrent &next dayload packets,load status sheetsneatly without errors using Company based & Microsoft Office software.
  • Communicate efficiently& effectivelywith all internal and external departments. I.E. - Sales, Scheduling, Transportation, Traffic, Billing, Material Handling, FSQA, Safety, Maintenance....etc.
  • Work up and prepare loadadd-ons, loadaheadandmake correctionson current orders/loads for current day if applicable.
  • Perform allWMSfunctions needed toprepareandcomplete loadsforshipping.
  • Keepworkarea clean.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the work environment, knowledge, skill, and/or abilityrequiredor preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:A high school diploma or GED isrequired. Oneor more years'experience inwarehousing or distributionis preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability towritereports and business correspondence; ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety files,operatingand maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Must be able to effectively communicate with the vendors, customers,production,and management personnel.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.
