The assistant may also help with permitting, invoicing, and responding to emails or phone calls on behalf of the contractor.

To thrive as an Assistant to Contractor, you need strong organizational skills, basic construction knowledge, and familiarity with administrative tasks, often supported by a high school diploma or relevant experience. Proficiency in project management software, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools is typically required. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities help you stand out in this support role. These skills ensure smooth project coordination, timely task completion, and effective collaboration between contractors, clients, and vendors.

What are some common challenges an assistant to contractor might face on a typical project?

An Assistant to Contractor often manages a wide variety of tasks, from coordinating schedules to handling documentation and communicating with suppliers or subcontractors.
