Job description

OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to MITS National Director of Engineering. In this role, the MITS Regional Technical Resource Manager will be responsible for managing MITS Technical Resources within a defined Region of the US. Additionally, they will provide guidance with, and where necessary, direct support of multiple small to mid-sized clients with their managed network service needs across multiple markets. The Regional Technical Resource Manager will have direct interaction with MITS technical and sales resources, branch personnel, and clients on a day-to-day basis. They will provide guidance and support for statements of work, findings & recommendations, quoting, best practices and management oversite of project-based work within their region. They will provide IT guidance as a trusted advisor for MITS customers where needed.

**This position can be based out of the following locations: Greenville, SC, Montvale, NJ, Downers Grove, IL, Charlotte, NC, Miami Lakes, FL**

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Regional Technical Resource Manager is expected to provide guidance, direction, and oversight of subordinates reporting to them.
  • Attend branch project meetings and be an effective conduit between Engineering, Sales and management at the branch 
  • Work with the National Director of Engineering to interview, hire, and onboard new Engineers within region 
  • Serve as the Team Lead and Project Manager during Ransomware Incident Response within their respective region 
  • Manage all projects assigned by National Director of Engineering 
  • Manage and monitor Engineer time entries to ensure high level of billable work and utilization
  • Provide as an escalation point for issues which may require coordination with other branches and national resources 
  • Meeting regularly with branch Engineers to provide mentoring and set goals and expectations 
  • Meeting regularly with National Director of Engineering to provide updates and feedback on branches within region, projects, Engineers, and utilization
  • Provide as escalation point to all Engineers in region with any issues whether that is technical, policy, or branch related 
  • Assist when needed, to draft complex project Statements of Work (SoWs)
  •  Acting as Engineer in branches that do not have an Engineer
  • Team coordination of larger and complex client projects. 
  • Client project budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. 
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to: provide a complete solution; troubleshoot complex vendor specific problems; or to coordinate migrations. 
  • Good organization, time management, reporting and prioritization skills. 
  • Perform other duties or special project as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on management experience with a team of 5 or more of highly qualified technical resources. Information Technology management experience preferred 
  •  Must be able to manage groups of technical resources dispersed over multiple states. 
  •  Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Candidate must be comfortable actively communicating with all levels within an organization.
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Undergrad or graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field a plus
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on technical experience managing/supporting multi-server and complex network infrastructure environments.
  • Hands-on virtualization (Hyper-V and/or VMWare) and Azure experience a plus.
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructure - firewalls, switches and access points.
  • Must be Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 certified and have industry firewall certification (Sonicwall, Meraki, Watchguard) or be willing to acquire certification as part of the employment agreement. Additional certifications a plus .
  • Experience and certifications in Cyber Security or be willing to acquire certification as part of the employment agreement.
  • Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure and Office 365 technologies preferred.
  • Managed Service Provider and/or Managed Security Service Provider experience a plus.
  • BDR (Backup Disaster and Recovery) experience a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented, ability to track and thoroughly communicate on multiple ongoing projects for multiple clients.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as participate as part of a group managing other resources on larger projects.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidate must be comfortable actively communicating with all levels within an organization under both relaxed and stressful situations
  • 30% local-day travel / 20% remote work / 50% overnight travel.
  • Minimum of one onsite visit to each branch in region per fiscal half.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to provide own reliable transportation.

The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
