Job description

The Big Walnut Local School District is seeking qualified applicants for the below position with our theatre department beginning the 2026/2027 school year:

  • Technical Director (Drama) - one-year supplemental contract

Duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, create, build and decorate props and special effects for theater productions
  • Coordinate stage design and layout with the stage director
  • Assist in ordering materials and supplies for productions
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed in set design and layouts
  • Work with students under teacher's direction
  • Configure theater seating for productions
  • Write and distribute promotional theater material for marketing
  • Attend performances for newspapers, display, and staff use
  • Perform other duties as assigned
