Mammography Technologist
SCHEDULE
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36.00
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Required
- Experience as a Mammography Technologist: Preferred
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License: Required in OR
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography (ARRT-R): Required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Mammography (ARRT-M): Required in OR, Preferred in CA and HI
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per policy: Required
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform specialized examinations of the breast to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.
- Operate specialized equipment to complete required procedures efficiently and effectively.
- Educate patients regarding examinations while ensuring privacy and comfort.
- Perform diagnostic or screening mammograms as ordered and assist the Radiologist with complex examinations, including breast biopsies.
- Produce high-quality imaging for evaluation and complete necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with senior staff to address any questions or challenges arising during procedures.
