About Better World Builders Better World Builders is a growing home-performance and construction company based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. We help homeowners improve comfort, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and the durability of their homes.


Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and technology-savvy Administrative Assistant to provide administrative, customer service, and technology support to management and the company.


The ideal candidate is comfortable learning new technology, proficient with Android smartphones, and able to troubleshoot common technology issues. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain appropriate workplace boundaries.


Primary Responsibilities:

Administrative Support

 Provide excellent customer service to clients, customers, vendors, and other contacts by phone and email.

 Draft project proposals and related documentation, and work with home calibration and energy-savings modeling using SNUGGPro software.

 Use Builder Prime CRM to maintain customer records, project information, communications, and scheduling.

 Spearhead API integrations between Builder Prime and other company software and technology systems.

 Schedule and coordinate sales appointments, maintain calendars, and document customer interactions.

 Handle sensitive customer information, including utility bills, project records, and other confidential documentation.

 Process post-audit home certification, ensuring required information and documentation are accurate and complete.

 Assist with purchasing and maintaining adequate supplies for the office.

 Help maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe office environment.

 Prepare and maintain documents, records, spreadsheets, reports, and digital files.

 Provide general administrative support and assist management with special projects.

 Maintain confidentiality of company, employee, and customer information.


Android & Technology Support

 Serve as a knowledgeable resource for Android smartphones and mobile technology.

 Set up and configure Android devices, accounts, applications, and connectivity.

 Troubleshoot common Android hardware, software, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile data, and application issues.

 Assist with Microsoft Office, OneNote, Teams, Word, Excel, and related services.

 Assist with Google Workspace, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, cloud storage, and related services.

 Assist with device backups, file management, synchronization, and security settings.

 Research technology issues and identify practical solutions.

 Maintain organized records of company devices, accounts, and technology.

 Assist with implementing technology and software that improves company efficiency.

The Administrative Assistant should be comfortable learning and using:

 Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365

Compensation

Compensation: $18/hr to $23/hr based on experience, construction-industry knowledge, qualifications, and whether the position is structured as full-time or part-time.
