Job description

Responsibilities

Assist in the deployment of applications and their components.

  • Assists other clinical analysts in maintaining the project timelines in EHR deployments and other applications when occur.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the business rules and organizational workflows that exist within the administrative and clinical areas.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned applications used in departmental areas.
  • Assists other clinical business analysts in implementing new updates, releases, and work with end-users in analyzing, and resolving issues during new implementations.
  • Assist in creating and implementing communication plans related to applications’ maintenance, changes and enhancements.

Assist in enterprise applications maintenance and enhancements.

  • Participate and maintain working relationship with different focus groups.
  • Participate in the evaluation, testing and implementation of future releases, monthly & quarterly updates. Assist in coordinating the upgrades to EHR, EHR components and non-EHR applications.
  • Collect and evaluate new requests related to enhancements of different applications, work closely with programmers, software architect, EHR architect and business analysts for acceptable outcome.
  • Create tickets, or work items based on analysis for development.
  • Test the new developments, and communicate testing results to technical and analyst teams before the changes are rolled out
  • Proactively reads, creates, maintains, follows application documentation.

Coordinate application trainings

  • Assist in the creation of training tools.
  • Assist the effort for training end users on updates and enhancements.
  • Assist in EHR training to support core application functionality.
  • Establish schedules and designate facility areas for training to occur.

Support business and other applications

  • Answer any tier 1 and tier 2 phone calls, emails or inquiries with proper support documentation.
  • Perform scheduled audits and ad hoc audits to monitor compliance.
  • Maintain and monitor applications, integrations and interfaces.
  • Assist in keeping application integrity and policies related to new enhancement changes.
  • Assist in the development of new documentation related to user support.

Other IT duties as deemed necessary should include but not be limited to the following.

  • Test and document compliance related to MIS policy and procedure.
  • Assist in system(s) evaluations with other IT staff.
  • Participate in IT team meetings and initiatives.
  • Participate in the strategic planning process for IT.
  • Participate on and chair committees deemed necessary to support standards and accreditations.
  • Assist in providing training when deemed necessary.
  • Participate in Orientation Training for IT.
  • Provide application training when deemed necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Administrative and other related duties as assigned

  • Actively participates in Performance Improvement activities.
  • Actively participates in AltaPointe committees as requested.
  • Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Treats consumers with dignity and respect.
  • Works in a cooperative manner with other AltaPointe employees.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Nursing or equivalent healthcare degree. 1-3 years’ (4-7 years for Analysts – II) experience in healthcare applications is preferred; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reporting tools, i.e. Crystal; task-oriented, good communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
