About This Role

BVS, a Reggio-inspired Early Enrichment Center, is looking for a supportive teacher to join our team. Our program values the natural world, so candidates can expect to enjoy outside time, natural elements within the classroom, and a home-like atmosphere. We believe in a child-centered curriculum, model appropriate interactions, and caring relationships, and we support children in growing and thriving. The ideal candidate will be passionate about child development, interested in a Reggio-inspired approach, and have the potential to become Lead Teacher qualified according to NH Child Care Licensing Standards.


Our programs run from 7:00 am-4:30 pm. We are seeking a team player who can foster a nurturing environment, assist in activities that improve the overall care and quality of education, and develop positive relationships with children and their families. They will work collaboratively with the team and Director to implement a quality educational program and help document children's interests and progress.


We value a nature-inspired philosophy and believe families play a vital role in our program. The ideal candidate will respect and understand this philosophy and be willing to work with our team to create a caring and safe environment for the children.


What You'll Do
  • Actively engage in activities and ensure a smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
  • Help ensure a safe and healthy environment by maintaining cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
  • Model self-help and good hygiene through behavior and encourage children's participation in curriculum activities.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations, and maintain a personal, professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Develop positive relationships with children and their families by being approachable, empathetic, and supportive.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement a quality educational program, observe and document children's interests and progress, and relay that information to parents and staff.

Requirements
  • Must clear full background check and pass a health screening.
  • Must pass a health screening.
  • Willingness to become Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certified.
  • Ability to work well with others, including children, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong understanding of Child Development, including the ability to analyze and document children's interests and progress.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • High energy, and a strong desire to learn and grow in their role.
  • CDA, Associate's Degree or Equivalent, and Assistant Teacher Qualified in the State of NH.

Nice To Haves
  • Knowledge of the Pyramid Model Framework, NAEYC, and NH CCLU.
  • Previous experience in Early Childhood Education, specifically in a Reggio-inspired setting.
  • Familiarity with the Reggio Approach and its philosophies.
  • Current knowledge and certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
