Position

Principal Systems Engineer – Land Warfare and Missile Defense Systems (LWMDS)

Location: Andover, MA, USA

Job Type: Onsite – U.S. Citizen only. Requires active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance prior to start.

Salary Range: $107,500 – $204,500. USD.

Responsibilities
  • Hands‑on development and testing in labs with communications hardware.
  • Design and optimize IP communications network architectures for Patriot system.
  • Develop configurations and settings for communication devices across various hardware.
  • Create orchestration and automation solutions for software management of the communication system.
  • Develop software in Python for the custom Patriot Communications System management application.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to worldwide Patriot Communications System users.
  • Assist in development and mentoring of new team members; foster knowledge sharing and team growth.
  • Provide technical leadership to a small engineering team supporting software application development for an individual Patriot program(s).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
  • Minimum eight years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in software application development using Python or comparable language.
  • Experience with Patriot Program (or similar) system design, integration, and sustainment.
  • Experience with Voice over IP (VoIP) communication design, configuration, and integration.
  • Knowledge of cyber‑secure communications design, configuration, and integration.
  • Experience developing and deploying software on cyber‑hardened Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with automated hardware and software test development.
  • IP networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) is a plus.
