Job description

Description and Requirements
General Description: To provide computer services and support to all USI Offices and clients. Primary responsibilities include the management, strategy, and execution of technology within respective departments.
  • Daily support, configuration, implementation and maintenance of Active Directory, Azure & Office 365. This position requires strong experience with Entra ID and Entra Application management. Hybrid Experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of load balancing with Azure Application Gateway and CDN web routing via Azure Front Door a plus.
  • Azure Role Management for all resources; Custom role creations. Role assignments and auditing of permissions.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling; Terraform and BICEP preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud system architecture and application design is a must-have. Azure preferred but will consider relevant experience with AWS/GCP.
  • Experience building and troubleshooting Azure DevOps Pipelines; YAML, Service Connections, Code Review and assistance of development teams with deployments and investigations of failures.
  • Strong understanding of traditional and cloud networking concepts; VNET's, ExpressRoutes, NSG's, Firewalls, Azure DNS Concepts are a must.
  • Ability to read and understand programming languages at level strong enough to assist with determining whether an issue is code or infrastructure related. C#, React, Node JS preferred.
  • Excellent PowerShell skills a must have.
  • Participate in Security audits and remediation exercises as needed. Review and remediate Defender for Cloud findings.
  • Ensure all computer systems are patched on a timely basis in accordance with USI policies.
  • Ensure the smooth deployment of new applications.
  • Plans for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • 4 Year Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred
  • MCSE/MCSA preferred.
  • 4-6 years IT Related experience in an enterprise setting.
  • Strong PowerShell Scripting knowledge required.
  • 3+years experience of VMware and storage management
  • Proven experience identifying security vulnerabilities and eliminating them with strategic solutions.
  • Experience with Terraform and other IaC technologies
  • Knowledge of system and network monitoring tools (PRTG)
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and people skills.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.

Salary range: $80,000- $110,000. This is a bonus eligible position with a target incentive of 8%.
