BIOFerm™ is currently looking for a Sales and Business Development Director to lead the company’s growth strategy in the RNG and broader biogas sector by identifying, developing and closing opportunities for EPC and technology supply projects in North America. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on identifying and securing EPC project opportunities while building and cultivating a strong client base. • Review and negotiate project contract
  • Assist system application engineering in completing feasibility studies, including biogas production estimates
  • Manage inside and outside sales teams
  • Represent the company at tradeshows and conferences – networking, obtaining sales leads, writing abstracts, giving technical presentations, and staffing company booth
  • Research and understand the market, competitors and their projects, feedstock sources, and possible projects to pursue. Track policy, incentive, and market trends influencing the RNG industry (e.g., LCFS, RINs, IRA credits)
  • Review responses to RFP's, RFI's, etc. managing the full business development cycle — from lead generation and prequalification through proposal, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Collaborate with the estimating and engineering teams to develop competitive proposals, pricing strategies, and scopes of work
  • Develop and maintain an accurate CRM pipeline, forecast EPC bookings, and track KPIs.
  • Lead contract negotiations in collaboration with legal and executive teams
  • Serve as the primary client contact through project award and handover to project execution
  • Travel to field sites to speak with clients and gather information
  • Develop and manage sales network and build strategic partnerships with technology licensors, equipment suppliers, financiers, and consultants to enhance the company’s value proposition
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Competencies & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • 15+ years of relevant experience selling capital projects or major equipment, over $5M preferred within the RNG, biogas or related energy sectors
  • Ability to effectively discuss and present technical concepts to C-level executives
  • Experience with and knowledge of anaerobic digestion processes, strong understanding of RNG project development including feedstock sourcing, upgrading technologies, interconnects, and financial structures is preferred
