Job description

  • Maintain common architecture products describing Application Software Service contributions to the holistic SMPES system/program
  • Conduct technical reviews of software application and system design/development specifications and engineering artifacts
  • Track and report SMPES consolidated agile backlog, release sprint tracking, requirements traceability, test traceability, and program-level metrics
  • Obtain Agile Backlog information from supporting contracts and maintain it in the SMPES PMO JIRA planning tool
  • Maintain a multiyear Application Roadmap
  • Perform system analysis and develop system specifications
  • Support software certification, maintenance, testing, integration, delivery, installation, configuration, problem resolution, and maintenance
  • Advise the Government on applicable standards and help develop or improve standards
  • Assess technical and architectural changes, processes, products, contractor solutions, baseline changes, and ServiceNow Change Requests for impact and provide recommendations
  • Support program documents, Systems Engineering Plans, briefings, written materials, program management reviews, and technical reviews
  • Support the Program Chief Engineer and engineering authorities
  • Provide direct support to the Test and Enterprise System Branch, PM, FM, and Chief Engineer
  • Support the STIG process for placing new deliveries into production
  • Assist with RFP artifacts and source-selection documents, including Acquisition Plans, LCMP, and Acquisition Strategy
  • Integrate user requirements and desired capabilities into requirements, planning, and programming processes
  • Review documentation and software for configuration-management, testing-policy, and design compliance
  • Analyze application interface requirements based on modernization recommendations
  • Develop test plans and reports and coordinate test events with program office, contractors, users, AFOTEC, and external agencies
  • Assist in security evaluation of program information and hardware throughout the program lifecycle
Requirements
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility
  • Masterโ€™s degree and 10+ years relevant experience, including at least 5 years supporting the DoD, OR bachelorโ€™s degree and 12+ years relevant experience, including at least 5 years supporting the DoD, OR 15+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree, including at least 8 years supporting the DoD
  • Strong knowledge and experience of DoD and Air Force acquisition processes, policies, procedures, and statutory/regulatory requirements
  • 5 years supporting the DoD
  • Strong knowledge and experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong hands-on software design experience
  • Understanding of Agile software methodology and processes
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Preferred: Security+ or Sec+ CE certification
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred experience with Agile methodologies and Jira for sprints, backlogs, and releases
  • Preferred experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge bases in Confluence
  • Preferred experience supporting USSTRATCOM weapon systems and/or capabilities
  • Preferred experience implementing the DoD Systems Engineering โ€œVโ€ Model
