Systems Engineer / Professional Services Technician

Risk Response Team (RRT) is seeking a Systems Engineer / Professional Services Technician to design, deploy, optimize, and support physical security and IT infrastructure solutions. This customer-facing role combines systems engineering, consulting, and professional services, helping clients maximize the value of their technology investments.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working directly with customers, and serving as a trusted advisor. This position supports projects, professional services, system health assessments, integrations, upgrades, and managed services across a variety of industries.

Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, deploy, and support physical security and IT systems.
  • Perform system assessments, health checks, optimization reviews, and technical audits.
  • Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, virtualization, networking, and cloud platforms.
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise access control, video surveillance, intercom, visitor management, and emergency communication systems.
  • Support system integrations, migrations, upgrades, database administration, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Lead customer onboarding, training, and technical consulting engagements.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, networking, and integration issues.
  • Provide remote technical support to field technicians during installation, commissioning, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist remote technicians with configuring servers, access control systems, video management systems, networking equipment, controllers, and integrated security platforms.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for complex issues encountered during installations and service calls.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management to develop technical solutions and support customer opportunities.
  • Develop technical documentation, best practices, and implementation standards.
  • Identify opportunities for additional professional and managed services.
QualificationsRequired
  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, systems administration, networking, physical security, or professional services.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and customer communication skills.
  • Experience working directly with customers in technical consulting or support roles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
