Belay Technologies is seeking a System Engineer to join our intel team. We're looking for a System Engineer to join a team developing a series of applications that are certified, trusted sources of critical mission data that will be used to answer mission and leadership questions across the Enterprise. It's a high-visibility project that will involve engaging with high-ranking stakeholders throughout the Enterprise.
  • Act as direct liaison between Government leadership and the development team to establish priorities, facilitating agile processes, communicating with team members, the Government and end user customers
  • Serve as Authoritative Data Sources (ADS) Scrum Master by facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, and backlog refinement. Remove blockers, coordinate cross-functional communication and ensure adherence to Agile practices
  • Assist Product Lead in managing outreach and stakeholder engagement activities related to ADS
  • Conduct ADS user experience, demos, and training
  • Maintain Siteworks, ADS Confluence space and overall roadmap
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functional Testing. Develop test plans, coordinate testing cycles, and validate new features, fixes and upgrades. Document results and ensure issues are logged and resolved prior to release
  • Maintain accurate System and Activity Records: Track configuration changes, deployments, enhancements and operational workflows. Ensure documentation support compliance and system traceability
  • Manage ADS Helpdesk and User Support Operations
  • The individual will need to work with the technical team and Government leadership to prepare schedule inputs, communicate dependencies, impediments, and risks and communicate with Freedom Program Management team
  • Collaborate effectively within a team, providing valuable feedback to team members to drive continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently on large projects, displaying self-direction and autonomy in project execution

Candidates should have the following qualifications:
  • TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
  • A bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of experience as a system engineer. Twelve (12) years of system engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Experience leading agile development ceremonies
  • Experience developing and updating technical documentation

Candidates are desired to have the following skills:
  • Understanding of Linux server environment
  • Kubernetes infrastructure knowledge
  • Experience closely collaborating with the Government customer
  • Experience managing systems hosted in virtual environments such as AWS
  • Experience with testing methodologies (Selenium, Cypress)
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Confluence & Jira
