Position Summary:

Performs technical and analytical work in systems analysis for computer information system projects in the Information Technology department. Work involves analyzing, testing, installing, documenting and maintaining computer application programs which have a moderate degree of complexity. Develops reports, maintains databases, provides operational support and assists end user in utilizing automated system and applications to improve efficiencies.

Work also includes working as a team member on broader or more complex projects, effectively interfacing with technical and non-technical staff within and across the departments to enhance member experience. Provides help desk support as needed.

Work Location:

This position is located at Corporate Headquarters in Downtown Baltimore. Incumbent will be required to report in office for this role. Upon completion of 90 days incumbent may work hybrid schedule. Approval is subject to performance, department needs, and manager’s discretion.

Education:

  • High School Diploma – Required
  • General Education Degree (GED) – in lieu of H.S. Diploma

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from an accredited College or University and minimum two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred: Core banking system experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain core system operations, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability
  • Proactively and reactively, work with all areas of MECU to develop databases and/or processes that assist in the overall goal of process improvement.
  • Fields all end user inquires relating to hardware, network and software operations and problems.
  • Develops an understanding of the reporting functions of the core processor system in order to provide accurate reports quickly and train MECU staff on utilizing that functionality.
  • Provides second tier support to the MIS helpdesk resolving issues specific to the core processor reporting system.
  • Troubleshoots hardware, software and network problems and provides resolution or notifies appropriate personnel.
  • Function as project lead for related projects that involve core processing system
  • Other duties as assigned.

Competencies Required:

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficient in system architecture, integrations, databases (SQL, PowerBI, Crystal Reports, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Familiarity with security protocols, compliance standard and data governance.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks under stressful situations with patience and tact.

Compensation:

Salary Range depending on experience and qualifications

  • $67,415 - $101,175

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the successful candidate is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, keyboards or controls; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop or kneel.
