Job description

Braun Intertec Corporation is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to serve as the functional and business process expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and related financial systems. This role partners with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Information Technology, and external partners to lead the analysis, design, implementation, enhancement, and support of enterprise business solutions.
The Senior Analyst provides both strategic and tactical leadership for business applications, ensuring solutions align with organizational objectives, improving operational efficiency, and supporting long-term growth. The position combines deep financial process expertise, advanced business analysis capabilities, and strong technical acumen to drive continuous improvement across the enterprise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
D365 Finance & Operations Leadership
  • Serve as the primary functional expert for D365 Finance & Operations.

  • Lead the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support of D365 Finance modules.

  • Drive adoption of Microsoft best practices and standard system functionality.

  • Evaluate new D365 capabilities and recommend solutions that improve business outcomes.

  • Support platform upgrades, One Version releases, and ongoing optimization initiatives.

  • Coordinate with Microsoft partners, managed service providers, and internal technical teams.

Financial Process Analysis
  • Analyze and improve financial business processes across the organization.

  • Partner with Finance and Accounting leadership to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.

  • Lead requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and solution design activities.

  • Ensure business processes are scalable, efficient, and aligned with internal controls.

  • Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analyses for proposed system enhancements and initiatives.

Provide leadership, support, and enhancement recommendations in areas including:
  • General Ledger (GL)

  • Accounts Payable (AP)

  • ExFlow

  • Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Fixed Assets

  • Cash and Bank Management

  • Treasury Automation

  • Financial Dimensions

Solution Design and Delivery
  • Lead workshops and functional design sessions with stakeholders.

  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.

  • Work closely with technical resources to design integrations, workflows, reports, and extensions.

  • Ensure compatibility, integration, and interoperability across enterprise applications.

  • Mitigate risks associated with customizations through thoughtful solution architecture.

  • Testing, Deployment and Support

  • Develop and execute testing strategies for new functionality and system enhancements.

  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and facilitate issue resolution.

  • Provide production support and participate in escalation and support processes.

  • Maintain application documentation, process diagrams, and support procedures.

Reporting and Data Analysis
  • Partner with reporting and analytics teams to define reporting requirements.

  • Assist with financial data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.

  • Support development of Power BI reporting solutions and financial dashboards.

  • Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.

Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and stakeholders.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Operations, HR, and IT.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to Business Systems Analysts and other team members.

  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment and drive consensus on solution approaches.

  • Influence strategic decisions related to enterprise applications and business processes.

Governance and Compliance
  • Partner with Information Security to ensure appropriate controls and compliance requirements are implemented.

  • Support audit activities and financial system control reviews.

  • Ensure changes follow established governance, testing, and change management processes.

  • Maintain strong documentation and traceability for all system changes.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable system solutions.

  • Experience with professional services and / or the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, computer science or related degree strongly preferred
  • 8+ years experience in analyzing business and system requirements to design and implement enterprise business applications and solutions
  • 8+ years' experience with D365 Finance & Operations. Specifically, GL, AP, AR, Cost Management, and Project Management modules
  • Microsoft Office
