Job description

Knollwood Country Club, located in West Bloomfield, MI, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Lifeguard! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
 
Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
 
Pay Rate:
$17 per hour
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and observe swimmers at all times to ensure their safety
  • Administer first aid to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises
  • Maintain amenities in and cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms and showers
  • Assist in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by the department manager
  • Enforce the rules of conduct
  • Perform pool maintenance including checking chemicals and vacuuming the pool
  • Check first aid supplies and report needed items to management in a timely manner
  • Organize and monitor pool games at all times; suggest pool-side games
  • Skim bugs and debris from the surface and empty the automatic skimmer to prepare the pool for daily use
  • Clean up and organize pool area at the end of the day
  • Maintain all necessary records as determined by the department manager
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of lifeguarding experience
  • CPR, First Aid Certification, and various Water Safety/Instructor Certifications required
Other Qualifications:
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes
