Job Description

Join a skilled residential HVAC team serving homeowners and apartment communities throughout the Peoria, Illinois area. As an HVAC Service Technician, you perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and new construction HVAC work in apartments, single-family homes, and residential renovation projects. You use your technical expertise in heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems to keep customers’ homes comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient while delivering professional, customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on residential HVAC systems, including heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC system issues, diagnose root causes, and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
  • Complete HVAC repairs safely and efficiently, ensuring systems operate reliably and in accordance with industry standards.
  • Install and replace HVAC systems and components in apartments, single-family homes, and residential renovation projects.
  • Execute HVAC work on new construction projects, including system layout, ductwork installation, and equipment setup.
  • Read and interpret HVAC plans, blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to complete installations and service work accurately.

  • Minimum 2 years of residential HVAC experience.
  • Strong knowledge of heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
  • Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and HVAC system repairs.
  • Experience with HVAC installations and replacements in residential settings.
  • Ability to read and interpret HVAC plans, diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily field service schedules.
  • Strong customer service and verbal communication skills when interacting with homeowners and residents.
  • Basic proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and HVAC controls.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication for ductwork and related components.

  • NATE Certification.
