Do you enjoy coaching and teaching swimming? Do you have excellent communication skills and enjoy being part of a team environment? If so, please consider applying and joining the Aquatics team at the Greendale Family Branch YMCA.


Under the direction of the Aquatics Direction, the Assistant Swim Coach Head Swim Team Coach is responsible for coaching and teaching members on our swim team, and creating a safe and welcoming environment in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas.


Responsibilities:

  • Coach the swim team at least one night a week from 5:30pm to 8:30pm
  • Attend monthly coaching meetings
  • Attend and work swim meets at a minimum of one weekend per month
  • Create a positive learning environment for young swimmers
  • Demonstrate the YMCA's mission and values when coaching members


Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified
  • Must hold current Lifeguard Certification
  • Have at least 2 years of competitive swimming experience
  • Has experience working with children from 5-19 years old
  • Knowledgeable about vocabulary and terms used in competitive swimming


Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Weekdays 5:00pm - 8:30pm, and open availability on weekends for Swim Meets

Pay: $16.00 an hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave
