What is an assistant strength and conditioning?

Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coaches work under the supervision of head strength coaches to help athletes improve their physical performance, prevent injuries, and maintain fitness. They design and implement training programs, assist with exercise demonstrations, and monitor athletes' progress. Their role often includes maintaining equipment, keeping records, and collaborating with other coaching staff to optimize athlete development. What are the typical responsibilities of an assistant strength and conditioning during the athletic season?

The role often requires flexibility, as schedules can vary with game days and training cycles.
