Position Summary: Toysmith is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and customer-focused Outlet Store Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our new retail outlet located at our distribution center in Pacific, WA. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, staying organized, and taking ownership of their space. The Outlet Store Lead will create a welcoming shopping experience, process customer purchases, maintain merchandise and displays, monitor inventory, and ensure the store is clean, organized, stocked, and ready for customers each day. As this is a brand-new Toysmith store, we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, takes initiative, notices what needs to be done, and is excited to help establish processes and contribute ideas as the outlet grows. The right person will take pride in making the store their own while helping us create a fun and welcoming shopping experience for our community.
Customer Service amp; Store Operations
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Toysmith outlet during scheduled store hours.
  • Open and close the store according to established procedures.
  • Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
  • Answer product questions and assist customers with purchases.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process transactions.
  • Handle cash, credit card, refunds, discounts, and other transactions according to company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming store environment.
  • Monitor store supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Address routine customer questions or concerns and escalate issues when appropriate.
Merchandising amp; Inventory
  • Stock and replenish merchandise throughout the store.
  • Create and maintain attractive and organized product displays.
  • Ensure merchandise is accurately priced and clearly labeled.
  • Monitor floor inventory and coordinate with the Distribution team for product replenishment.
  • Assist with inventory counts and research discrepancies as needed.
  • Identify damaged or unsellable merchandise and follow established procedures.
  • Help merchandise seasonal, promotional, discontinued, and other designated products.
  • Provide feedback on customer requests, popular products, and sales trends.
Cash Handling amp; Administrative Responsibilities
  • Follow established cash-handling and register procedures.
  • Complete daily register reconciliation and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate store records and promptly communicate discrepancies.
  • Follow company procedures related to deposits, refunds, discounts, and other transactions.
Outlet Development amp; Company Support
  • Help establish and improve procedures for the new outlet as operations develop.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, merchandising, and overall store operation.
  • Assist with store promotions, community events, and other activities designed to increase awareness of the outlet.
  • Coordinate with Distribution, Marketing, Accounting, and other teams as needed.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Toysmith products and promotions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • During slower store periods, provide support to other departments, including Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, and other areas, as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Previous retail experience required.
  • Experience with cash handling and/or POS systems preferred.

  • Comfortable learning new systems and procedures.

  • Ability to work a regular Tuesday through Saturday schedule, with flexibility to adjust hours for business needs.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach, and move merchandise.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to safely use step stools or similar equipment as needed for stocking and merchandising.
