Job Description Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction Location: Miami, FL Area (Confidential) Compensation: Competitive Salary + Benefits + Career Growth About the Opportunity A well-established and growing commercial general contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its South Florida team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious construction professional looking to grow with a company that has a strong backlog of work and an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality commercial projects. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Senior Project Managers and Superintendents throughout all phases of construction, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities Assist in managing projects from preconstruction through closeout. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

Track project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities. Participate in owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings. Assist with contract administration and project documentation.

Support field operations to ensure schedule and quality objectives are achieved. Help identify and resolve project issues before they impact cost or schedule. Maintain strong communication with clients, design teams, and internal staff.

Qualifications 2-6+ years of experience with a General Contractor. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Experience on commercial construction projects.

Understanding of construction documents and project management processes. Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and budgeting. Strong organizational and communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office; Procore and Bluebeam experience is a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Preferred Project Experience Experience with one or more of the following is highly desired: Commercial Office Healthcare Education Municipal Hospitality Mixed-Use Retail Why This Opportunity.
