Job Title: Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
Location: Albany, NY. (Locals Only)
Type: Hybrid Role – 2 to 3 days Onsite per week.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team in
Albany, NY on a hybrid schedule (2–3 days onsite per week).
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle databases and advanced PL/SQL
development, with a focus on backend database programming, optimization, and complex data
manipulation.
Responsibilities:
ü Develop, optimize, and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and
triggers.
ü Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
ü Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and application developers to gather
requirements and implement database solutions.
ü Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of database code and queries.
ü Assist with data migration, transformation, and integration tasks.
ü Ensure code quality through unit testing and adherence to coding standards.
ü Participate in code reviews and documentation of solutions.
ü Support existing applications by diagnosing and fixing bugs or performance issues.
ü Work in an Agile or waterfall SDLC environment, depending on project requirements.
Required Qualifications:
ü Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
ü 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development.
ü Strong understanding of relational database concepts and Oracle architecture.
ü Proven experience in writing stored procedures, packages, triggers, and views.
ü Proficient in performance tuning, query optimization, and debugging.
ü Familiarity with data modeling and schema design.
ü Experience working in hybrid/on-site environments.
ü Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
ü Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
ü Experience with Oracle versions 12c or above.
ü Experience with tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer, or similar.
ü Exposure to ETL processes or data warehousing environments.
ü Understanding of version control tools (e.g., Git).
ü Experience in government or large enterprise environments (preferred for public sector
projects).
