We are looking for someone to begin this role end of July/beginning of August 2026.

Position Summary: The Worship Resident will be given hands-on experience and training in an effort to help them feel confident in all aspects of worship arts including, but not limited to Worship Leading, Planning Services, Leading Volunteers, Training/Coaching Volunteers, Learning and Using tech equipment.

Status:
Full-Time Resident, Contracted, 40 hours/week
Weekly Schedule: This is a full-time position. A basic work schedule consists of Sundays (6:30am-12:30pm), Monday-Tuesday (8:30am-5:00pm), Wednesdays (8:30am-7:00pm) and Thursdays (8:30a-9:30p). Attendance at all Sunday services is required. Attendance at other events may also be required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work in conjunction with the Lead Worship Pastor and Creative Arts Team to plan and execute services.
  • Get to know all team members and develop relationships
  • Set up Planning Center schedules, communication with volunteers
  • Attend and contribute to weekly Creative Arts Team meetings (Creative Arts Meeting, Programming Meetings)
  • Assist the Lead Worship Pastor and other worship leaders in implement creative elements within our services
  • Lead on stage each weekend
  • Plan and participate in SBYth Ministry BLITZ worship service the 1st Wednesday of each month
    • Scheduling volunteers, Running rehearsals, Assist in setting up tech elements, Spend time getting to know students and building relationships each Wednesday of SBYth programming before small groups begins
  • Learn and develop tech skills
    • Computer Graphics, Lights, Sound, and Setting up the stage
  • Learn and develop skills with Cameras and video editing to aid in Communications
  • Learn to plan and utilize Creative Arts budgets.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience working and/or volunteering in a worship ministry environment
  • Vocal Proficiency
  • Proficiency in at least one instrument preferred
  • Bible College experience or at least 1 year of worship-leading preferred.
